Upcoming Litters
We are anticipating a new litter late fall of 2026 with Calypso, once she has finalized her health testing. Updates will be posted upon confirmation of breeding.
At Opal Shilohs we breed to improve our own dogs and the breed as a whole. Our breed program is under the strict oversight of the International Shiloh Shepherd Alliance. www.shiloh-shepherd.com .
All of our breeding dogs are required to complete necessary health testing including, hip and elbow x-rays, cardiac Holter monitoring, heart auscultation, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) testing as well as a temperament test. Any breed quality puppies in our program will be required to complete the same health testing, but all Opal Shiloh puppies will be required to have a cardiac Holter completed.
All puppies are placed based on information on applications combined with information from the Litter Evaluation Report (LER). The LER is performed on all puppies in the litter once the puppies are 8 weeks old to help determine the best home that fits each puppy. We do not place puppies based on appearance.
